To perform a patch scan, do the following:

#Select the recently scanned collection.
#Draw a rectangle annotation region around the area to be patched.
#Right-Click on the annotation to get the drop-down menu

#In the resulting dialog, select the desired resolution of the patch. The default will be the same as the original image.
#If the user presses OK, the patch scan will run on the image.

If the patch scan resolution is the same as the original image, the patch can be merged into the original image data manually from the toolbar, or automatically using Configuration settings.

Patches can be permanently deleted from the collection by using the "Patches" selection drop-down and the "Delete Patch" button on the [[Image Toolbar]]
