Like a Patch Scan, a Sub B-Scan is a rescan of a sub-section of the collection. However, only B-Scan data is collected within the region. The Sub B-Scan region is always a Linear Scan.

When the user selects an area and starts a Sub B-Scan, they are given the opportunity to set the Sampling Rate of the waveform before proceeding. This helps reduce the amount of data collected for the B-Scan (which can be considerable at high sampling rates).

The original location of the Sub B-Scan will be shown on the image as a rectangle with the B-Scan name superimposed at the top left.

Sub B-Scans can be deleted using the drop-down menu that appears when right-clicking on the Sub B-Scan name.
