Patch Scan selection in drop-down menu

A Patch Scan is a re-scan of a sub-section of a collection, possibly at a different resolution. A Patch scan can be made on collected Linear or Tray Scans. The patch scan itself is always a Linear scan.

A Patch Scan cannot be made on loaded images.

The results of the patch are superimposed on the original image at the correct scale. Any number of patches may be added to a collection.

To perform a patch scan, do the following:

  1. Select the recently scanned collection.
  2. Draw a rectangle annotation region around the area to be patched.
  3. Right-Click on the annotation to get the drop-down menu
  4. Select "Patch Scan". A dialog will appear.

  5. In the resulting dialog, select the desired resolution of the patch. The default will be the same as the original image.
  6. If the user presses OK, the patch scan will run on the image.

If the patch scan resolution is the same as the original image, the patch can be merged into the original image data manually from the toolbar, or automatically using Configuration settings.

Patches can be permanently deleted from the collection by using the "Patches" selection drop-down and the "Delete Patch" button on the Image Toolbar
